What would happen if you were able to reframe your perspective of failure? Would you risk more often? Would you make decisions where fear isn’t a contributing factor?
Consider this: There is no such thing as failure, only potent learning experiences. Your failures are only feedback inputs that contribute to the adjustments that you make as you walk on your path of achievement. They are nothing more than ways you make adjustments and are contributing inputs of a feedback loop. You make a decision, take action, observe results (what others call failure) and make appropriate adjustments. That’s it.
So who came up with that word? Who really cares. Who really cares about what others might call ‘failure’. Believe me, they’re not thinking about you. They’re thinking about themselves. So take the smart risk and forget about others think. When you get to your death bed, you probably won’t be saying, “Gee, I wish I played it safer more.”
If you are in a place where things are less than optimal (that’s a nice way of saying that your life really sucks right now), then just say ‘I’m not done yet. I’m not even partway through. There’s more to this game and I’m going to win. I will win it.’
